At G Callaghan & Sons Ltd sash windows
are all custom made, unlike some of the other imports
which are on the market these days. We use high quality
materials and our staff are specially trained, this
ensures that we offer a high quality finished product.
We manufacture windows to the design of the customer,
be it Georgian, Edwardian or Victorian style, single
glazed or double glazed, weights, cords & pulleys,
or spiral balances (or block & tackle system an
alternative to spiral balances), hardwood or softwood,
paint or varnish finish are some of the options offered
to every customer.
Many years ago when sash windows had a reputation for
being ‘draughty and rattley windows’, nowadays all our
windows are draught sealed with either a brush or Qlon
Seal, which ensures sash windows are on a par with other
window styles when it comes to performance against the
elements. However, they have a certain character as
opposed to many other window styles.
G Callaghan & Sons Ltd offers a full fitting service,
which in the case of replacement of old windows, we
will remove your existing windows, then fit new windows,
refit any existing architrave, shutters or liners which
may have been on the windows. In the case of new openings
again the windows are fitted as above by expert fitters,
ensuring the window is level, plumb and sealed against
the elements.
